The normal duration of the programme is of 2 years - 120 ECTS

Programme aims

Economics Management and Policies for Global Challenges is an international 2nd cycle degree (Master’s degree) for Italian and foreign students,  entirely taught in English.

Students may choose among the following two curricula:

  1. Small and Medium Enterprises Curriculum:
    Graduates will be qualified for managerial or consultant positions in international markets. The course provides students with integrated management abilities enabling them to address international issues in small and medium enterprises. You will learn to analyse and understand the fundamentals of industrial economics and business administration related to the internationalization of small and medium enterprises by integrating performance, organizational and financial abilities. 

  2. Green Economy and Sustainability Curriculum:
    Graduates will be qualified for managerial or consultant positions in the Green Economy sector. The course provides students with interdisciplinary abilities enabling them to address issues related to green economy and sustainable development. The main topics of Green economy and sustainability are eco-innovation, green economy and sustainable development. Challenging eco-policy issues - from both national and international perspectives - are also studied.

Programme strong points

The Department of Economics and Management is firmly committed to provide international training and education approach. You can therefore take advantage of various opportunities for learning in an international context, such as:

  • programme entirely taught  in English;
  • practical approach: the programme combines theory and practice, and you will develop leadership skills from practical experience with project management, which will be useful when working with the subjects in your future career;
  • active teaching strategies in small groups in order to develop students’ abilities and skills (Problem-Based Learning, Project teaching, Workshops, Case studies…);
  • possibility to combine thesis research and internship or project work for an active collaboration with enterprises also during your studing period;
  • joint study programmes (double degree) with Kristianstad University, Southern Denmark University, East Anglia University;
  • several projects for studying, training or dissertation research abroad (Erasmus+, Atlante, etc.);
  • Department  on the front line research on environmental topics and great intersection between research and teaching topics:

Training path

Students may choose among two curricula:

  • Small and medium enterprises in international markets 
    You will find courses in the advanced core areas of industrial economics and business administration related to the internationalization of SMEs 

  • Green economy and sustainability
    You will find courses in the advanced core areas of environmental economics, environmental law, econometrics and research methods

Both the curricula give the the opportunity to choose from an interesting portfolio of optional courses

Teaching modalities

Face to face Teaching. In presence learning. Attendance is suggested, but not mandatory.

Double Degree

The Master's offers the possibility to enroll in a double degree program.

Selected students will spend the first year in a foreign partner university and the second year at Unife and will get two degrees issued by both universities.

The available options are:

    East Anglia University (UK)

Studing abroad

Career opportunities

The purpose of this Master is to prepare you for the global labour market. The program combines theory and practice, and you will develop leadership skills from practical experience with project management, which will be useful when working with the subjects in your future career. You will gain subject expertise, as well as a practical understanding of how to apply that knowledge to make a difference to businesses and policy-makers.With this combined background will graduates from the programme when entering the global labour market be well-equipped to work within both national and international organizations.

Tutors

Unife students can find didactic help in the didactic tutors: supplementary lessons to the teachings and coaching in the laboratories.
