Internship abroad
Procedure for earning the internship abroad
Internships abroad may be carried out through various channels, including the Erasmus+ and Traineeship programmes, or curricular internships at foreign companies. Taking part in the Erasmus+ and Traineeship mobility programmes offers students the opportunity to experience an international training period, benefiting from support and financial assistance for the stay abroad.
It is important that the student builds a relationship between the host institution abroad and the thesis tutor, a prerequisite for setting up the path correctly. It is desirable that this relationship translates into a shared training path agreed upon between the two institutions, with educational objectives and ways of carrying it out defined jointly.
For the internship through the Erasmus+ and Traineeship programmes, intended for those who wish to carry out an experience abroad by taking part in the mobility programmes, the competent office is the International Relations Office and the relevant information is available at www.unife.it/it/internazionale/studiare-allestero/traineeship.
For the curricular internship abroad, the competent office is the Internships and Placement Office and the relevant information is available at www.unife.it/it/studiare/tirocini-placement/tipologie-tirocinio/curricolare-estero.
The recognition of the internship abroad is to be agreed upon and defined in advance together with the thesis tutor, in close coordination with the faculty member responsible for the type F credits, Prof. Fabio Mantovani (mantovani@fe.infn.it).
