Language certifications

Procedure for earning the type F credits through language certifications

As part of the 2 CFU credits dedicated to workforce orientation and language skills, the student may obtain recognition for documented language certifications, as an alternative to carrying out an internship. Certifications in advanced English, Spanish, French and German are admitted, provided that they are issued by internationally recognized certification bodies and obtained within the last three years.

For French, Spanish and German, the level of the certification determines the grade awarded according to the following equivalencies:

  • Level B1 certification = 26/30
  • Level B2 certification = 28/30
  • Level C1 certification = 30/30
  • Level C2 certification = 30/30 with honors

In this case the procedure is very simple and consists of two steps.

1 - Submission of the certification. The student sends the documented language certification by email to both of the following addresses:

2 - Assessment and response. The faculty member responsible verifies that the certification meets the requirements (internationally recognized certification body and obtained within the last three years) and informs the student of the outcome of the recognition, with the grade awarded according to the table of equivalencies.

The grade is recorded once all 3 type F credits have been earned. Only after completing both the 1 CFU credit for third mission activities and the 2 CFU credits for the curricular internship does the student register for the type F credits examination session, which is followed by the formal recording of the grade by Prof. Fabio Mantovani.
